Havana is also a true heaven for lovers of architecture: from a Baroque style cathedral to the typical Art Deco building of Bacardí, from the theatre Gran Teatro de La Habana and the characteristic Capitolio (replica of The Capitol in America) to the Fosca builing (from the ‘50s). In Havana you will find beautiful restored building interchanging with the past chique of houses who's façade is almost crumbling. Havana is also full of museums, galeries, has a lot of theatres and shows and an exciting nightlife. Take your time to experience the ambience in this city which will take you to several places in time.

Meet today Havana, the Cuban capital that inspires travelers worldwide. Enjoy first a morning ride on an old classic car through important landmarks like Paseo del Prado, the train station, The revolution Square and Hotel Nacional. Enjoy also the breeze on Havana's most iconic landmark: El Malecon. Later prepare to discover the old part of Havana. Feel the bustling narrow streets and walk Havana´s 4 iconic Plazas to watch spellbinding architecture that includes most of the architectural styles. Visit La Bodeguita del Medio and El Floridita, Hemingway´s favorite bars; and shop in Obispo, a pedestrian street that connects Central Park with the heart of old Havana. The excursion will start in your accommodation when an English-speaking guide picks you up and ends in the city centre where you will be able to explore the area by yourself.

Viñales: The Cuban countryside
In the west of Cuba, in an oasis of greenery, lies the lovely village of Viñales. Here grows the legendary tobacco plant between the rising mogotes, the imposing limestone hills. A visit to the tobacco farmer is highly recommended. Would you like to roll up your sleeves for a day? Then book our ecological farm day tour, where you help the farmer on the land.
Currently closed, but can open any time: You can also visit many caves in Viñales (including an excursion where you visit three caves or a visit to the Santo Tomás cave combined with a zipline tour). For a day of relaxation, we can plan the day trip to the island of Cayo Levisa for you.
Tobacco walking tour Viñales
Days 5 | Duration: 3 hours
The Viñales Valley is surrounded by dome-like limestone outcrops commonly known as mogotes by locals. This special landscape was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Enjoy a peaceful walk through the fields and discover how intertwined the landscape is with the people who work on it. Along the way, you see oxen, farmers who manually inspect the tobacco plantations and the different fruits that grow in this area. You will also visit a hut where the farmers dry the tobacco leaves and roll the cigars.
PLAYA GIRÓN

Playa Girón: Vitamin sea and Ciénaga de Zapata national park
Playa Girón has it all: history, perfect snorkeling and diving spots, and the beautiful nature reserve Ciénaga de Zapata. Marvel at the flora and fauna of this special environment. Would you like to see the beautiful rock formations at Sendero del Enigma and then swim at Cuevas de los Peces? Then book the excursion Sendero del Enigma with us. We can also extend the excursion if you'd like to discover the underwater world (diving or snorkeling), If you are a bird watcher, the Salinas del Brito tour is the perfect excursion in the winter months.

Day 7 | Duration: 4 hours
With a guide you set out to explore Sendero Enigma de las Rocas. You will go to the area, where you can see different plants and animal species that are specific to this area. The guide will give you more information about the unique flora and fauna in this national park. The excursion ends, after about four hours. For this excursion transporaton by taxi is included. You will be picked up at your accommodation and brought back at the end of the excursion.
In April, May and June this excursion may be replaced by another because of the crabs emigrating from the forests to the sea, blocking the road.

CIENFUEGOS

Cienfuegos: The Pearl of the South
Cienfuegos is also called the pearl of the south. Above all, it is a very clean city, with an abundance of neoclassical architecture, impressive fortresses and palaces, and the beautiful bay of Punta Gorda. The beautiful buildings are located around Parque José Martí and the Paseo. From Cienfuegos you can also go to Laguna Guanaroca to spot flamingos. Other day trips you can take from Cienfuegos are to El Nicho waterfall, the botanical garden or Playa Rancho Luna beach.
SANTA CLARA

Santa Clara: The city of Che Guevara
Upon arrival in Santa Clara you immediately notice that it is a lively university city with an open, hospitable population. The first day you can visit the most visited landmark: Plaza de la Revolución and at the back of the monument the Museo Memorial Che of the Cuban guerilla leader Che Guevara (closed on Mondays). If you have an extra day, we recommend you to visit Lake Hanabanilla and take a boat trip here. Back in the center, you can see local life playing around the traffic-calmed Parque Vidal. Sit down on a bench with an ice cream in your hand and enjoy this eventful city.
SANCTI SPÍRITUS

Sancti Spíritus: Sugar and tobacco fields
Sancti Spíritus is the capital of the province of the same name Sancti Spíritus and was founded at the same time as Trinidad in 1514. The prosperous former sugar cane plantation in the area (Valle de los Ingenios) gave the city an enormous boost. This city does not compete with Trinidad in terms of architecture, but the old center is partly thanks to a lot less tourists maybe therefore worth a visit. In Sancti Spíritus you can do many nice excursions such as a city walk, a cooking workshop or a bike ride to the village of Tuinicú. If you like nature, go to Lomas de Banao.

During this city walk you explore the historical city centre of Sancti Spíritus with a guide. Marvel at the distinctive, colourful buildings, the banks of the Yayabo River, and the local art studios.
TRINIDAD
Day 11 - 14 / 3 nights

Trinidad: A true open air museum
Trinidad is one of the best preserved colonial cities in Cuba and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. Trinidad was once home to sugar cane barons and pirates. The city is a true open-air museum and the walls breathe history. Upon arrival, you can quietly explore the historic center and stroll past the imposing candy-colored colonial houses. From Trinidad you can also go to one of the many beaches such as Playa Ancón, enjoy the beautiful nature in Topes de Collantes during a nice hike (can be booked as an excursion) or the former sugar cane plantations at Valle de los Ingenios. We also offer various cultural workshops such as cocktail making, photography, pottery, drawing, playing the guitar or percussion. In short: the perfect place to spend at least a couple of days!
Local bicitour
Day 12 | Duration: 1.5 hours
Perfectly relaxed on the seat of a bicitaxi, a Cuban rickshaw, you explore the suburbs of Trinidad with a local guide. During the tour you will visit the local shops where Cubans get their rationed food, you will pass by a school where our guide will explain the education system and at the end you will visit the ceramic workshop of Santander.
VARADERO

Varadero: Relaxing on the white sandy beach
Varadero is Cuba's most popular seaside resort, because its beautiful 20 km beach with fine sand and crystal clear blue water. Besides sunbathing and swimming in the sea, you can also practice various water sports here, such as diving, snorkeling, kite surfing or take a trip by catamaran to the island of Cayo Blanco. You can also do cave tours to Cueva de Ambrosio or to Cueva de Saturno where you can also swim. Varadero is the ideal place to relax for a few days and enjoy the beautiful sand and the blue sea!
