Sancti Spiritus.jpg

Sancti Spíritus

Day 13 - 14 / 1 night

Sancti Spíritus is the capital of the province of the same name and was founded in 1514, alongside Trinidad. The prosperous former sugar plantations in the region (Valle de los Ingenios) gave the city a significant economic boost. Although the city does not have the same architectural grandeur as Trinidad, its historic center, with a much smaller flow of tourists, offers an authentic charm that makes it worth a visit. We recommend taking a stroll to the bridge over the Río Yayabo and the main square with the Parroquial Mayor, one of the oldest churches in Cuba. The Museo de Arte Colonial was once the home of the Valle Iznaga family, who left Cuba after the Revolution, and almost everything in the house remains in its original state.
